#Day 9: Final Day

#Final Day

The final day we finished off the mural and haven't got the chance to upload final images of the mural. This has been are successful experience for me and the team which created are good environment and opportunity for us to create our artwork in a public space. This has shown me new things and created oppurtunitys where design can be applied onto anything with process and are creative team behind you.

This experience for me was a good chance to learn new skills and give what i know that will help benefit me and my team. Through this process i have learned many things from the simple things of time management, and positivity that helps towards completing the job.

I Would love to do this as a living job in the community and all around the world.

Day 8: Skin Tone & Red

#Day 8

Today we applied the Brown and red onto the portraits as followed from the concept. the processes we used was that we started it with black and going from the colours to fix up and clean up the lines. The last layer was the red which was applied to finish off the portraits. This was really fun to do with the team that created motivation and made it possible.

Working with the grid really helped the process when it came down to doing the portraits. From this day we only had to finish the white part on the left side and a few touch ups on the portraits. The yellow part on the right side.

Day 5: Portrait Outline

#Day 5

Today we worked on the outline for the portraits using the projector outlines and having the black spray can as a guide line for our Red and Brown for the Skin Tone colour. We all worked in sections to speed the process and making the most of the time that we had to do the portraits.

We also ordered the paint the next day so Day 6 will be our resting day to get the next load ready for Day 7.

Day 4: Background

#Day 4

Update of our mural we have covered most of the background and have put grey paint over the portraits to mark them and put in the projector to line up the design to the wall. We also did Projector work in the night time to help with the design.

Day 3: Grid

#Day 3

Gary emailed me about having a grid for the mural and how it really helps in making it very accurate with the design. So he created it over the day to get it ready for the next day which is Day 4

Day 3: Outline Mural

#Day 3

Today with the help of Gary Silipa me and the boys worked on the background and adjustments to the sizes to fit the concept. This gave us a chance to work on the sections and finish the outline on our first day.

Videos of the stencil that i did for the red sections. Jason and Leo applied the stencils onto the mural.

Day 1: Discussion Mural

#Day 1

There was a discussion about the estimate and the paint that was paid from Elmarie and Clinton. From there Gary helped the team understand about the pricing and order of paint that is needed for the mural. Day 3 would be the day that we officially start our mural.
